Great read Tpan, so hyped about this partnership. This is massive. Let's see how long it takes to get the ball rolling. Exciting stuff though!

Agreed. I see this as a positive flywheel in multiple ways:

1. Nike itself likely has multiple partnerships ready to go live (soon) or in progress which now will accelerate because of this announcement

2. Other brands will start seeing that Nike is serious, and are "encouraged" (whether they like it or not?) to explore web3 more quickly or more deeply

3. Other brands will start exploring interoperability more seriously in the way Nike x EA SPORTS are, or in other ways

Couldn't agree more on all of these points.

I also think the battle between Nike and Adidas for market share in the digital sports world is going to speed things up big time... which as you said in point 2, will drive adoption from brands in many sectors.

This is a perfect set up! Does .swoosh have a marketplace yet? or that is what is likely coming soon right? Likely around the time we can open the boxes?

Yes! Forgot to mention, the great motivator: competition 😉

For a company/brand like Nike it's actually across a few angles: Obvious angle is with other direct athletic brands like Adidas, but also across the supply chain, specifically the resale market with StockX and eBay. If this is successful in the digital space, I imagine it will shift into the physical in some form (eg: RTFKT's WM chip)

No MP yet, but definitely happening and agree w you on timing. Nike is going to have some very interesting data soon IMO.
