I see the potential of the Photon much more clearly than I do for any digital frame out there tbh. Spending over 1K for any screen seems like a lot, especially when you can just buy a huge TV instead and put your art as screensaver.
I don't think we're quite there yet in terms of digital screens. I'd give it at least 2-5 more years before we start seeing options that are worth their price, and enough healthy competition between manufacturers to make it affordable to the average art enjoyer.

I agree with the sentiment, and I think it's a good call that the Atomic Form team created the Photon as a product for a more flexible use case.
Waves are great but are made for a more specific purpose.
And I also agree that in the coming years, the prices of these physical displays will go down, especially if demand increases
