I think it's inevitable for retention, growth, and other mechanics. As an example -- Imagine a marketplace integrating a sneak peek into each collection/community's discord or telegram. The best communities would see this integration as a benefit while the degen or early projects it would depend.
Catchmint is a minting tool and has comments, it's a mess over there, but we'll likely see a lot more of that, which is a simpler version of the example I provided above and already exists in a lot of forms outside of web3/crypto.
